Terms and conditions
Last updated: 10 October 2026. These terms apply to Eternity and to its products, Eternity Verum and Eternity Cite (together, “the service”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. What the service does
Eternity Verum verifies data pipelines. It connects to databases and storage you choose, reads them in place, computes expected values from your source data and compares them with your reports. A scoping agent helps you define each check by asking questions in chat.
Eternity Cite answers legal research questions from documents you upload and, when you ask it to, from Indian case law, citing the page and paragraph each point comes from.
Chat and analytics answer questions about files you upload, with the rows and sources behind each answer.
2. Your data
2.1 You own it
Everything you upload or connect remains yours. We use it only to provide the service to you. We never sell it, and it is never used to train any AI model.
2.2 Connected databases and storage (Verum)
- Sources and targets you connect are read in place and read-only. To verify a pipeline we run queries against them and keep the small results (totals, the rows behind a difference). We do not copy your source or target into Eternity to verify it.
- Connection credentials are stored encrypted and used only to run the checks and views you set up.
- You are responsible for granting access that is appropriate, for example a read-only account limited to the schemas you want checked.
2.3 What the AI sees
To understand your data and draft checks, the AI receives table and column names, a small sample of values, your questions, any mapping sheet you upload, and totals the service has computed. For Cite it receives the passages relevant to your question. A locked check re-runs as plain database queries, with no AI involved.
2.4 Documents and case law (Cite)
- Questions about your own documents are answered from those documents and are never sent to an external search.
- When you ask for case law, the question is rewritten to the legal issue and stripped of names, numbers and dates before it is sent to Indian Kanoon, which keeps search logs for 30 days. Case law is shown separately from your documents and attributed to its source.
- Please do not put information you are not permitted to share into a question that requests case-law search.

2.6 Deleting your data
Delete a document, a check, a connector or a space at any time from the app, or delete your account by writing to hello@eternity.help. Deleting a space removes everything Eternity holds for it; nothing in your own database or bucket is ever touched.
3. What the results are, and are not
- Verum results support your judgement; they do not replace it. A check verifies what it states and lists what it does not test. A passed check is not a guarantee that a pipeline is free of other errors.
- Cite does not give legal advice and is not a substitute for a qualified advocate's judgement. Check every citation before relying on it. You remain responsible for anything you advise or file.
- AI can make mistakes. The service is designed to show its evidence so that mistakes can be caught, and to decline rather than guess, but it cannot promise to be error-free.
4. Acceptable use
- Connect and upload only data you are entitled to use.
- Do not use the service to break the law, to infringe others' rights, or to attack or overload the service or the systems you connect.
- Do not attempt to access other customers' data or to work around usage limits.
5. Billing, subscriptions and refunds
Paid plans are billed as recurring subscriptions. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, who handle payment processing and applicable sales tax, VAT or GST; the charge on your statement may appear as Dodo Payments.
- Free trial: 30 days, no card required. You are never charged unless you actively buy a plan.
- Cancellation: cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period, with no further charges.
- Refunds: your first purchase is covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee. Details are in our refund and cancellation policy.
- Price changes: we will tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects your subscription.
6. Warranty disclaimer
The service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that results are complete or accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that data can never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything important.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (with a minimum of US$100), and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
8. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the EU GDPR and similar laws, you can ask to access, correct, export or erase your personal data. Write to hello@eternity.help and we will respond within the time the law requires. We do not sell personal data. See also our privacy policy.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
